THE PEOPLE BEHIND OUR MISSION

Meet the Founders

Jeremy Baldridge

As the concept founder and collaboration lead at Kenai Design Co. Jeremy grew up in coastal Alaska and considers the Kenai Peninsula his long-term residence. Jeremy has spent twenty plus years working in different industries in Alaska including commercial fishing, energy, and logistics. He enjoys his time outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Alaska is considered the Last Frontier and Jeremy has personally seen the decline in species that were once present and abundant. His strong desire to protect this Frontier and other geographical regions is reflected in his work at Kenai Design Co. Jeremy understands that striking a balance with fellow citizens and their interests is crucial to sustaining our environment and prides himself on working amongst different groups, many times at odds, to find a common purpose. He is optimistic and knows that nearly all people share his belief in sustaining species for future generations of all living creatures to come.

Elly Bauer

As the head designer at Kenai Design Co., Elly enjoys many artistic endeavors inspired by the flora and fauna around her. Elly grew up in Cooper Landing, Alaska, a small town with plenty of mountains and rivers for an artist to be inspired and grow. She recently finished her degree in Environmental Science at the University of Utah. Elly is pursuing her passion in art while configuring a path to make Kenai Design Co. a leader in environmentally and socially responsible causes.

Patrick Thompson

I’m a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised, with deep roots in the communities and landscapes that make this place home. I grew up in a family connected to Alaska’s commercial fishing industry, while spending my own time working in the sport fishing world, giving me a firsthand understanding of both sides of the equation and the shared responsibility we all have to protect our resources.

From an early age, my parents instilled in me a respect for the land, the water, and the wildlife that sustain us. Much of my life has been shaped by time outdoors – camping trips, canoeing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing – experiences that built a lasting connection to Alaska’s wild places.

That upbringing is what drives my involvement with Kenai Design Co. I believe protecting the lands and wildlife we grew up with isn’t optional, it’s a responsibility. Through conservation-minded apparel and community partnerships, I’m proud to do my part to give back to the place that has given me so much.

Tina Baldridge

Hi! My name is Tina Baldridge and I’m grateful to be a part of Kenai Design Co. You will see me at our special event booths, maybe chat with me through our social media platforms, as well as working the bookkeeping in the background. My husband, Jeremy, and I have two beautiful kids that keep us running between sports and schools often. When I’m not fulfilling ‘mom’ duties or volunteering for the PTA, you can find me outside enjoying walks with our dog or in the pottery studio. Growing up in Alaska, I have a strong appreciation for the outdoors and all living creatures. I believe we all have a moral obligation to do our best to preserve nature and live a sustainable lifestyle to protect our planet for many generations to come. Let’s work together for what’s right and sustainable!”
